The reason Malignant’s screenplay gets such a great grade is simple. It does its job, which is to turn your brain into a sloppy lump resembling the messily devoured remains of a half eaten grilled cheese sandwich.

When these two actors tangle, the film goes to a different level. It's electric, and one can’t help but want more of watching these two together.

The overall strong screenplay feels like it wakes up in a panic near the end, suddenly remembering it’s an MCU movie.
