Mr F has been politely grading movies for weeks since leaving the classroom. Each film is graded in three core subjects: SCREENPLAY (since the first question most people ask when you tell them about a movie is, “What’s it about?”), ACTING (because the second is usually, “Who’s in it?”), & CRAFT (it’s cool to appreciate and/or learn how people make the stuff you love). Films will also be graded in one ELECTIVE CLASS - something unique that makes the movie special (or not so special). Occasionally, Mr F will write essays where he talks about the random things he notices and/or loves about the movies he watches.

Mr F fought and taught middle schoolers for 23 years. His love of movies began shortly after he fell asleep in his mom’s car following a particularly rough day of kindergarten. A sharp elbow woke him from his slumber. His groggy eyes opened to a Star Wars poster glistening outside a movie theater. And that was that.

In addition to politely grading movies, he is a film festival programmer and an innovator of using film as a tool to help students swallow writing and critical thinking skills.

Mr F lives with his family in Cincinnati, OH. He would love to hear what you have to say about movies: mrfdigsmovies@gmail.com
